Back to the Stage

Tonight I had the joy of returning to my theater (Gush Etzion) and getting up on my stage. Tonight I returned as a tap dancer. Our troupe, Those Tappin' Dames, will be dancing two numbers in Chutzot HaYotzeret (a variety show). The show, organized by the Matnas Gush Etzion's director of music Sima Gal, includes dancers, singers, musicians and even stand-up comics.
My troupe rehearsed and then I stayed around for a short while to watch the other performers. There's nothing a performer likes as much as seeing other performers on stage for a private showing.
Anyway, it's going to be loads of fun. Before the show, there'll be a tremendous crafts fair, plus gourmet dinner. Then the show.
Sounds great.

Tuesday Night - Talented Women

I just got home from the dress rehearsal of the Matnas Gush Etzion's "Chutzot HaYotzeret," where some of the most talented female performers in Efrat/Gush Etzion take the stage for the evening.

The rehearsal gave all the performers the opportunity to watch one another - something we cannot easily do during the real show. And you know what? Those women were terrifically talented - singers, dancers, musicians - and classy at that. The audience is going to love them.

I hope they'll also like our Tap Troupe. We're going to dance to "Ease on Down the Road", and we hope we're going to provide some energetic fun. We were excited to be invited to perform in Chutzot HaYotzeret, to perform for a new audience, and to meet performers we had never worked with.

The performance begins at 20:00, but Chutzot HaYotzeret officially begins much earlier than that - 17:00 - with a giant fair outside the Matnas. Tables will be filled with Judaica, jewelry, clothing, food and more.

Chutzot HaYotzeret is one of the many successful programs run by Matnas Gush Etzion Music Director Sima Gal.
Women from all over Gush Etzion and beyond are invited, June 1, 17:00 for the fair, and 20:00 for the performance.
It is one of the all-time great days of the year in Gush Etzion. Dn't miss it. Tickets are only 30 NIS per person.
